| White House Millennium Council signage The White House Millennium Council, under the leadership of then First Lady Hillary Clinton, set up the creation of the Millennium Legacy Trails – an initiative to create a nationwide network of important and historic trails at the new millennium. The trails were chosen by the Governors of each of the 50 states to reflect the essence and spirit of the area they represent. Brown+Ryan, along with architect Ali Tayar of Parallel Design, were commissioned to create a signage system commemorating these 50 important trails. High-tech laser-cut titanium "text flags" were created that could be mounted either to a flat surface or onto a pole. The signage system was very well received and resulted in a special ceremony held at the Whitehouse at which we were pleased to be recognized for our contribution. |
